NAPTIP: rescue 135 victims arrests, 86 suspected human traffickers in Kano. h
The National Agency for the Prohibition of trafficking in person (NAPTIP), has said that it rescues135 Victims and arrested 86 suspected human traffickers in Kano state from January to till date. Mr Shehu Umar, commander in charge of NAPTIP in Kano zone, made this disclosure in an interview with newsmen on Tuesday in Kano. Umar said that the rescued 135 victims comprised of 23 males and 112 females. He further explained that the command rescued 86 cases which involves 22 external and internal human trafficking, 28 Child Abuse cases, 5 child labor cases, four sexual abuse cases, and 6 rape cases. The zonal commander said 21 of the cases were transferred to other relevant security agencies. Out of 86 suspects arrested,44 were females and 42 were male.
