A truck carrying sand plunged into Epe river in Lagos State on Friday night, September 25. In a statement released today september 26, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), said, "the Agency recieved a late last night accident involving a Volvo Tipper that fell off the Berger bridge into Epe river in Lagos State Upon arrival at the scene of incident, it was discovered that a six tyre truck converging sand plunged into Epe river. Scores of persons have been declared missing after the truck plunged into Epe river. As at time of writing this report the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, have concluded their rescue effort and have confirmed two death in the incident.
