Fresh Southern Kaduna Attack :8 killed, others injured, Houses destroys.

Suspected Fulani militia has killed 60-years-old widow,  a mother of 6 children and a 56-years-old man in Manyi  Mashin  Village,  Zamandabo ward,  in  Atyap  Chiefdom, Zangon  Kataf Local government  of kaduna  state. 

This is contained in a statement issued by National Publicity Officers, Southern Kaduna People Union,  SOKAPU, Luka Binniyat.

Binniyat said the suspected militia burned down almost all the houses in the village, looting and carting away valuables.

The statement explained that though the men of Operation  safe haven  promptly responded, the militias fled before their arrival. 
The union requested the federal government, through operation safe haven, under the command of major general Chukwu Emeka Okonkwo, to expedite action and bring to book all Fulani militias that are currently occupying 101 southern kaduna  communities in 4 of our LGAs. 
  "We have furnished the world with the details and we are happy to noted that eight of the displaced communities in Zangan district in Kaduna LGA are now returning homes as a result of more presences of men of OPSH. 
We are appealing to our youth to shun all forms of provocation and conduct themselves in manners that will not make them fall short of the law not compromising their right for self-preservation, under the law, " the union appealed.

The Emir of Biu in Borono State, Alhaji Mai Umar Mustapha Aliya, is dead.  The monarch died at the Federal Medical Center Gombe after a brief illness on Monday night, September 14. Alhaji Mai Umar Mustapha Aliyah, was born on the 9th of November 1940 in Biu, the late monarch attended Kwaya Kusar junior primary school between 1947 and 1949. He later went to Biu central primary school from 1950 to 1953. He there after proceeded to Hausari primary school in maiduguri between 1953 and 1955. The deceased was at various time a veterinary attended, a member representing Buy Emirates at Borno State council of art and culture,  and district Head of Biu town from 1975 to 1989 when he became the Emir of Biu. He left behind four wives, and over 70 children and 200 grandchildren. May Emir of Biu dies at 79   his soul rest in perfect peace.

8 burnt to death in Lagos-Ibadan expressway accident

Eight people were burnt to death in an accident on the Lagos-ibadan expressway.  The lone accident involved a Mazda bus marked AAA 249 VX occurred on Saturday night, September 19, at about 8:45pm, near seapade bridge.  The accident  was a result of a burst tyre that cause the car to somersaults and burst into flames.  "People were involved in the accident. They are three male adults, one female adult, one child and six unidentified person.  8 died while 3 were injured and rushed to Idera Hospital, Sagamu, for medical attention. NAPTIP rescues 135 victims and arrests, 86 suspected human traffickers.
